Hello sweet followers of the Buck Blog. It has been some time since i've updated on the life of me. Fashion Design has been kicking my ass but this weekend I finally got a little vacation. COMIC CON 2010- as told to go by the Darshana herself- was worth every penny and minute of lost work time possible.

So as far as Fashion World at FIT goes, I've been working on this jacket for what, five hours this past week during class? The assignment was MAKE A DOLMAN-could be anything. I went with a frilly little jacket inspired by the shirt above. Sometime this week i'll post the back which is actually my favorite part---oh and the new sleeve because that is just the fabric hanging pathetically.

(Val is making the "Surprised Asian" face). My professor told me I have a fan club across the room obsessed with this jacket. That has to be the most rewarding thing said ever!

And so I leave you with this until next time!

(constant lame SP dreams/COMIC CON MISSING~)

Fashion Design is a different world. Every day is probably more intense than the last. Unfortunately, I'm so exhausted that I can't even begin to explain to you how ridiculous this semester has been. Tonights been kind of eh and unfortunately, put me into a little bit of a slump. I don't even have the energy.

Tomorrow shall be better when I am less stressed and less tired! I will definitely be up for more pictures then!

Giving buck blog a face-lift was undeniably refreshing. Unfortunately, it has been a while since my last art post. Summer approached pretty rapidly and naturally, the art did not. I had no choice but to take two classes at FIT this summer and of course, they're my two favorites~ Math and Phys Ed (Which is just Yoga so I really shouldn't be complaining); This has definitely sucked my creative juices dry the past few weeks.

Anyhow, here is the new layout!

002.

Sundays are often put to waste for me. After wasting the first two days of my weekend by sitting around, venturing to Greenpoint and staying in bed until 5:00pm the next day, I figured today might as well be somewhat productive. I had read somewhere that there are a variety of interesting Flea Markets scattered in the city. Rosana had no choice but to join me on my adventure...poor girl was just blessed with living on the other side of my wall. We visited the market on 39th (between 9th and 10th avenues) which was a collection of very dusty but silly junk. I saw a bike I considered buying- a $75 yellow road bike- but I figured it would be costly to fix up. I did find that gem above but he was a little pricey and i'm not sure how much Darshana would've appreciated that hanging from my closet.

Rosana looks very amused.

After lurking, Rosana and I headed to Bryant Park where we sat down at a little table and sketched for about an hour and a half. We saw this homeless woman with a full beard, her vagina half hanging out and decided it was time to go. Nonetheless, some cute things came from our nerdy drawing session. You can check out her blog here.

Look at me! Looking so productive with my diet coke with a straw combo!
Rosana looks productive sporting a fantasticly overpriced Snapple Apple.
